Fire Chief - Scott Baldwin
After graduating from Cedarville High School in 1975, Scott began his service to the residents of Cedarville Township when he joined the Cedarville Township Fire Department in March of 1976. Throughout 1976 and 1977, Scott worked on getting his basic and advanced fire certification. In 1978, he earned his EMT Basic certification. Scott then began working his way up the leadership chain in the fire department. Scott served as the Cedarville Township Fire Association Secretary during 1977 and 1978. Scott then moved up to the Fire Lieutenant position in 1978 and held that position until moving up to the Fire Captain's position in 1980. After two years as the Fire Captain, Scott became the Assistant Fire Chief in 1982. Also in 1982, he earned his EMT Paramedic certification. After three years as Assistan Fire Chief, Scott was promoted to the Fire Chief's position in 1985. He served in this part-time position until July of 1989 when he became the first full time Fire Chief for Cedarville Township. Since being promoted to the full time Fire Chief's position, Scott has worked hard to serve the members of this community as he continually looked for ways to educate himself. Scott became a State of Ohio Level II Firefighter in 1989 and has also become recognized by the state of Ohio with certification in Fire Investigation, Hazardous Materials Technician and as a Hazardous Materials Incident Commander. Scott also gives of his time to help others as he teaches classes as an Assistant EMT Instructor, Firefighter class Instructor, and as a CPR instructor. Scott has given thirty-four years of dedicated service to the people of Cedarville Township.
